Australian Fashion Laureate
The Australian Fashion Laureate is an award for outstanding achievement in the Australian fashion industry and it will be awarded for the first time at an evening function at Sydney’s Government House on the 8th October, 2007 (the evening of Rosemount Australian Fashion Week Transeasonal Collections 2008). It was given birth by IMG Fashion and the NSW Government and the candidates for this award can include designers, manufacturers, photographers, stylists, business owners and others who are heavily involved in the fashion industry. The criteria for consideration is that their work is carried out in Australia and have made a significant contribution in growing, developing or promoting the Australian fashion industry globally. The nominees for the award are Jayson Brunsdon, Collette Dinnigan, Nicholas Huxley, Akira Isogawa and Carla Zampatti and the winner will be selected by 9 key industry figures that include board members of Rosemount Australian Fashion Week.
