Greek Fashion Week - Diners Athens Collections InStyle
The 6th official Hellenic Fashion Week - Diners Athens Collections InStyle is on and since its inception on the international calendar in March 2005, it has managed to raise the profile of designer fashion within Greece and abroad. The 4 day event (October 24-28) brings together 40 catwalk presentations for Spring/Summer 2008 with Greek and international participants including the Greek American designer from New York, John Varvatos. The talented Athenian designer, Sophia Kokosalaki moved to London and managed to stand on solid ground on the international scene but it certainly isn't easy for designers who cannot get the right exposure. Check out my favourite Greek designers: Aslanis, Makis Tselios , Nikos-Takis and Celia Kritharioti (although she didn't participate).
