We are well into January, the New Year's resolutions are in place, it's
a hot Summer Down Under and it's the Tennis season. You can understand
then why this is my favourite time of the year. Australian tennis has it
all. You get to watch the matches, the fashion and the bling. The
Australian Open 2008 saw Marcos Baghdatis and Marat Safin play an
amazing match last night but I will not focus on the ball playing but
rather the on-court fashion for now.
Don't you think Rafael Nadal
looks sensational in his creation by Nike and don't you think he has
been flexing his biceps way too often since he's been wearing that
sleeveless top?
Adidas designed a classic looking outfit with
interesting details for Justine Henin, who is happily strutting a more
feminine look this year. Take note of the tie on the back of her top.
Sure, I know what you're thinking. It would be rude of me to not take a
moment to mention our blingers who always like to make a statement on
the court and this year have opted for sparkling jewellery. For those of
you who aren't in the know, I am talking of course about the Williams
sisters who bling all the way to their matches and all the way to the
bank. Watch those earlobes, girls!
