NRA Fashion Design Awards 2008
The 27th NRA Fashion Design Awards were held on the Gold Coast last night. The festival runs for 10 days and aims to showcase the products and services of Australian designers, manufacturers and retailers. The Supreme Award was won by first-time entrant, Lisa Brown, for the Lifestyle Collections category. Her winning entry of silk dresses had an african inspiration and a relaxed look. Traditionally, the Supreme Award had been given to evening gowns but it's nice to see a change. Lisa may also have her first Hollywood fan. Apparently, Kate Hudson purchased a Lisa Brown dress while filming in Queensland last year. Let's hope the word gets out. Following is the list of winners for the NRA Fashion Design Awards 2008.
