Designer Junk

Everyone seems to be complaining about customers shopping less and profits that are not soaring but let's face it. If you're a designer and you've been getting away with selling overpriced junk, think again. Customers are refusing to pay premium prices for cheaply made Chinese apparel just because the label is associated with somebody's name. People are not stupid. If designers want to charge the high prices, they should start using fine fabrics with quality trimmings and seamsters/seamstresses that actually know how to sew. And yes, I am referring to some of you Aussie designers who have your flea market rags hanging in Myer and David Jones. If you want to be the next Collette Dinnigan, start acting like her or your cushy rides will end up coming to a screaching halt.
