The Story

Australia has some of the best beaches on the planet. The coastline stretches close to 37,000 km and when the coastal islands are added, it amounts to more than 47,000 km. Most of Australia’s population lives within an hour of the coastline. This is the reason why the beach has a special place in our hearts and our Australian identity. With almost 11,000 beaches and frequent visits since childhood, we wore thongs from the morning til the night.

The rubber thong became our Australian icon and a part of our lives that is now filled with precious memories. I always remember having a red pair of thongs and my mother argues that they never came off my feet. I may not be able to take you back in time to share all of my joyous experiences but I created this collection of thongs with love, passion and nostalgia to share with you the beauty of my home country.

Manly Beach is a famous family surf beach but also, the perfect spot for young children to learn swimming as it has areas with shallow water. One side has the surf beach while the other has an inner harbour beach with serene waters. It also boasts Sydney’s famous surf school for learners. It is a great beach for the whole family with several water activities and a long stretch of cafés.

Byron Brown

Byron Bay is located on the easterly point of the Australian continent in Northern New South Wales. The area is known for its alternative and relaxed lifestyle. Byron Bay’s Main Beach is famous for it’s soft sand, turquoise sea and surfing breaks. It is family friendly and in the summer months, the famous sand castles are created on the beach, made only of sand and water but a process that takes 6 hours to complete.
